Prices and VAT

• All prices are stated in EUR (€).
• All prices include the German "Mehrwertsteuer/Umsatzsteuer" (VAT) which is currently 19% for most goods and 7% for some special goods (e.g. Books)

Taxfree intracommunity delivery

• NOTE: You are responsible for paying your local VAT ("Reverse Charging").
• If you are purchasing commercially, you can provide a non-German Tax-ID number in the Checkout form.
• This VAT-ID may be called differently in your country: http://www.bzst.de/003%5fmenue%5flinks/005%5fustidnr/512%5fmerkblatt/001%5faufbaupdf.pdf
• The VAT-ID is checked automatically with the German BFF-Server during entry of your order.
• If you have problems, please check that the company name matches the official registration.
• Especially for larger Companies or Universities, this may be different from your Office Location.
• Sometimes, the VAT address data has not been updated with BFF, so there may be an old record.
• You can check your number at http://ec.europa.eu/taxation%5fcustoms/vies
• We have no means to find out this data for you. We can just guess.
• There are known problems with Countries which use characters that are not ISO-Latin 1 (e.g. Bulgaria, Czech Republic).
• If everything fails, please contact us through e-mail.
• This VAT deduction only available for goods where we can prove that they have been exported to your country, i.e. not for shareware fees and donations.
